Don’t worry if you don’t have previous speaking experience. Your experience and topic of the talk is more important.
Is Ukrainian community ready for the talks in English?
Last time at WordCamp Kyiv, we had 16 speakers give talks (4 of them in English) to our 243 attendees.
We accept talks in Ukrainian, English and Russian.
Here is a list of topics below to give you a starting point:
- managing a business and all that’s involved (finding and managing clients, launching your own plugin/theme, advertising, and so on)
- design for WordPress (UX, best practices and so on)
- Gutenberg (page templates, building themes with Gutenberg, and so on)
- developer-focused topics (coding best practices for theme and plugin development, API, writing secure code, and so on)
- security, privacy, data management
- scaling websites
- SEO
- anything else related to WordPress
There’ll be a mix of long form talks and workshops with optional time for questions.
- Long form talks will be approximately 30 minutes plus an optional 10 minutes for questions.
- Workshops will run for a maximum of 40 minutes.
All WordCamp speakers are volunteers, and we are sincerely grateful for this 🙂
